Nicole Monasterio
  • Conceived in the matted tangles of sex, drugs and big-hair-band rock and roll, Nicole embodies a unique passion and love for music. As it is with humans, the struggles she had when she was younger became her teachers as she evolved. Nicole lived and understand the difficult journeys attached to suicide ideation, depression, addiction, anxiety, and trauma. After losing her older sister to suicide at the age of 22 , she chose to position her life on a new trajectory.

In a desperate search to stay connected with her sister, Nicole learned how to navigate that relationship in new ways while in the spiritual realms. Music was her lifeline and it was what allowed her to feel the unity she desired and needed. Divinely guided on the path of a healer, Nicole has spent the last 20 years rediscovering her own power in the face of her traumas and helping others along the way. She is greatly devoted to humanity and is honoured to assist those in crisis, those with thoughts of suicide and those struggling and searching to heal.

Jane Bockman
  • Jane is a certified Method Mat Pilates instructor (2008) and a registered Yoga teacher (2009).

She has practiced Yoga for nearly a lifetime after “discovering” Yoga as a young woman. Over the years Jane traveled and moved to various countries and her Yoga practice always “moved” with her as she practiced on beaches in Greece, Israel, Turkey, Mexico and other countries - Yoga was never left behind.

Once in Canada, Jane studied Dentistry in Toronto after a short stint as a graphic artist.

The many years spent at a laboratory bench took its toll on her spine and back. This presented an opportunity to discover the healing power of Pilates!

After years of practicing Pilates in Vancouver, Jane decided to pursue certification to teach Pilates to help others find the strength and comfort in their bodies.

Since then, she has taught both modalities in Community Centres, private Yoga and Pilates studios, gyms, and volunteering at Outreach Centres.

Her classes are designed to be fun and accessible.

  • Alex completed her 500 hour Yoga Teacher Training with Kavita Maharaj at Red Door Yoga in 2013, and has had the privilege of teaching at RDY for the last 13 years.

She was initially drawn to the philosophy of Yoga because she sought to articulate the framework of values and beliefs that underpinned her work as a counselor. As she learned about the 8-limbed path and other aspects of Yoga, Alex realized she would be a life-long student.

As a teacher and practitioner, Alex resonate with Vinyasa flow-style classes. She loves the process of inviting the body to open through thoughtful movement that is aligned with breath. She is also drawn to Yin as a practice that cultivates feminine-energetic qualities of softness and receptivity, and invites deep stillness.

We are all in constant evolution and need to give ourselves permission to find our balance between challenge and ease.

In all her classes Alex likes to craft interesting sequences coupled with internal focus. Each class is a journey on the mat and a journey within.
